Below is a list of the most frequently asked questions about our cleaning services. We hope they will be helpful.

Q:  Who will clean my home?
A:  A team of 2 or 3 highly trained and bonded Tailored Maid employees. All of our employees must pass a rigorous background criminal investigation. We insist on complete confidentiality of our clients and your privacy is maintained by all employees and staff. 

 


 

Q:  What if I am not satisfied with the cleaning?
A:  You can trust Tailored Maid Services to stand behind the quality and reliability of each and every cleaning. If you should ever have a problem call our office within 24 hours of your cleaning at (757) 292-6540 or e-mail us at Torrey@tailoredmaid.com and we will resolve the issue immediately. We guarantee your complete satisfaction.   

 



Q:  Do I need to provide any supplies or equipment?
A:  No. For your convenience, equipment and cleaning supplies are provided by Tailored Maid Services. We will be glad to accommodate you should you wish us to use your own preferred supplies.  There are only two products that we will not use in a home:  Bleach and Ammonia.  Because we are catering to a cleaner, non-toxic environment, we do not promote nor participate in the use of such products.  We simply stay away from toxic brews of chemicals and promote all-natural disinfecting and sanitizing ingredients that are environmentally friendly, pet friendly, and child-friendly.  Your health and our health are very important to us. 

 



Q:  Do I have to be home when you clean?
A:  No, not if you don't want to. In fact, most of our clients prefer to have their homes cleaned while they are at work or away from the home. Typically, our clients will issue us a key that we keep locked safely. The choice is yours.



Q:  Do I have to do anything before you come?
A:  In order to give you the greatest value and allow us to work as efficiently as possible, we ask you to take a few minutes before we come and pick up extra clothing, toys, dishes and other household items that could interfere with the cleaning of your home. 

 



Q:  How do I pay for the service?
A:  Most clients find it convenient to leave a check on the kitchen table or counter top. Payment is made on the day of each visit.  For your convenience, we also offer ecrypted payment services via the web for our credit card clients. 

 



Q:  What do I do with my indoor pets?
A:  We will insure your indoor cat or dog stays inside. If you have an aggressive or barking dog, we ask that you please separate the dog from the maids while they clean your home.  We are very pet friendly and bring treats on each of our visits. 



Q:  Will I always have the same team?
A:  We make every effort to send the same team each time. Occasionally there may be a change in a team due to illness or a rare day off. Therefore, it is not possible for us to guarantee the same team every time. In the event of such occurrence Tailored Maid Services will find a replacement or send a supervisor in their place.

 



Q:  What if something is damaged while you clean my home?
A:  We treat your home with the greatest care; however, should damage or breakage occur while we are cleaning your home, we would make every effort to have the item repaired, or replaced if it cannot be repaired.  We treat your items with exceptional care but we need to remember that we are human and accidental damage is always a risk.

 

We ask that if you wish to avoid any risk of damage, you either identify items in which we are not to touch, or, remove such items from our work area to avoid the potential for damage.  Items of sentimental value are a good example of an item that should be removed and stored away from our work areas. 



Q:  How will I know when to expect my cleaning?
A:  Our normal workdays are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can arrange to have the maids come during these times. Usually, we will ask that you give us a morning or afternoon window for arrival at your home; for example, between 10:00am and 12:00pm due to the nature of our traffic patterns in our area. You will be entered into our computer with your specific cleaning schedule and we will notify you the evening prior to your cleaning via email, phone or text messaging (whichever you prefer).

 

If you have any special requests or need attention brought to certain areas of the home, you can discuss them with us no less than 48 hours prior to your appointment so that we may properly schedule your cleaning.



Q:  Do I have to provide cleaning supplies?
A:
  Tailored Maid Services provides all the necessary cleaning solutions, sanitized supplies and equipment. However, if you have a special product you prefer us to use when cleaning the house, such as a specific wax or polish, we'll be happy to consider using it.  Products containing bleach or ammonia will not be used. 

 


 

Q:  Is a long-term contract required for service?

A:  Not at all! Our services are provided as needed to suit your busy lifestyle. There are no long-term contracts or obligations required.  We encourage you to become a regular client so that you can properly maintain your home.  As a regular client, you may be entitled to specials and promotions for being a routine client, but we offer specials to new and repeat customers alike.  We do offer a service agreement at the beginning of your first cleaning so that we may outline the expectations of each party, identify our policies and procedures, and open the lines of communication.  This benefits both parties.

 


 

We provide house cleaning, natural aromatherapy home cleaning, new construction clean up, spring/fall cleaning, one time thorough cleans, move-in/move-out cleans, before/after party clean up and apartment turnover cleaning service.
